It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 8/14

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Book Journey.

I'ts Monday! What Are You Reading? is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week... and anything in between. This is a really great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well... you never know where that next "must read" book will come from! Go visit others who are participating in this Meme. Visit 10 or more of the Monday Meme participants and then leave a comment at Book Journey telling her how many you visited to participate in a weekly contest.

Last Week I read:

White Witch Pond by Jody Kihara (Review Coming soon)
The Mating by Nicky Charles (Review coming soon)
The Keeping by Nicky Charles (Review coming soon)
Spiral X by JJ Westendarp
The Peach Keeper by Sarah Addison Allen

To Read Next Week:

The Finding by Nicky Charles
The Demon Girl by Penelope Fletcher (started but need to finish)
Swamplandia! by Karen Russell (Started but need to finish)
A Clash of Kings by George RR Martin (started but need to finish)
I also want to tackle The Instructions by Adam Levin but it is massive so it probably won't fit into my schedule this week. I have read a lot of really good reviews on it, though, and am excited to start.

I am going to add one more section to this:
Reviews I Want To Accomplish This Week (because I am falling behind and need to hold myself accountable)
The Mating
 The Keeping
  A Discovery of Witches
 The Forgotten Garden
 The Vanishing of Katharina Linden
 The Monsters of Templeton
 Grimm Legacy
well I think that is a long enough list, right?

  7. You have such a busy week of reading and reviewing ahead of you! I am one of those people that has to write the review within 24 hours of reading the book or I'll forget all the details so I would feel so overwhelmed to have multiple reviews to write. Good luck!

  8. I found myself falling behind on reviews as well, so I decided I wouldn't allow myself to start a new book until I had written a review for the last one. I find my opinion of a book changes depending on how I like the newest one, and I don't like that, so I changed my process.

I've been meaning to get to the Game of Thrones series, I have the first book on my shelf - hopefully I'll be able to start it soon!

  11. Helen,
Ya, I know I should have written the review as soon as I finished but I just wanted to read the next story. I do take notes though as I am reading and luckily, I have a great memory when it comes to the plot. Thanks for stopping by

  14. That's a huge list of books! I don't know many of them, but I do love Sarah Addison Allen. Maybe I need to start keeping a list of reviews I need to write. Although I do keep all the actual books stacked beside me computer, and if that doesn't motivate me, I don't think a list will either... Enjoy your week!

  15. Enjoy your upcoming reads. I'm posting late this week because I've been on a trip to the mountains and out of reach of the internet. Please come see what I've read.

  17. Thanks for visiting NotJustReading. I know what you mean about falling behind with reviews - sometimes the reading is just too good to stop and write! I find it helps to make a point of reviewing the previous day's book before starting to read each day.

I hope you get your reviews caught up. I know how it can be stressful to get behind. The Lycan series sounds good. Enjoy your reading and reviewing week. :-)
